Karone was orginally intorduced as the villian named Astronoma. When the villian of the UAE gathered together around their leader (Dark Spector), Astronoma was among them. She was considered an up and coming general. Astronoma was sent after the Red Space Ranger when he tried to crash the meeting. When Andros teamed up with the former Turbo Rangers ( forming the Space Team ) Astronoma followed th group back to Earth in her Dark Fortess. Astronoma than attacked Earth and the Rangers, in an attempt to stop them from findng Zordn. He was captured by Dark Spector. Astronoma tried to use the Ninja Turrtles to take out the Rangers. Here spell on them failed and she was defeated. Astronoma's main henchman was Ecliptor. Not only was he her cheif worrier, but like a father to her. Yet she didn;t believe him when Darkconda offered his services to her. He said he coudln't be trusted. Astronoma continued trying to defeat the Rangers. She was attacked by one of her mosnters and rescued by the Silver Ranger. The two developed an attraction to each other. But Astronoma dumped him when he showed up late for a date. She still had feelings for him. Astronoma began to wonder about her past. She was told tha ther parents and bother were murdered by Power Rangers. Astronoma soon learned that Andros was her brother. Darkconda had kidnapped her as a girl (for Dark Spector). Astronoma had a hard time accepting this. Darkconda tried to undermine Astronoma by going to Dark Spector and telling him that she knew about her past. Astroonma was orderd to kill her brother. She offered to help Andros and friends find Zordon. Unfortunatly she led them into A trap. She proved her loyalty when she helped the team escape. Astronoma decided to live as Karone and became an honray Ranger. When Dark Sopector sent a Metoer hurling towards the Earth Karone broke ino her old ship in an attempt to redirect it. A reporgramed Ecliptor captured her and used cybernetics to change her back into Astronoma. Andros learnrd that the cybernetic equitment was controling her emotions. Astronoma sent the Physcos Rangers after the team. She ended up using the strain they put on Dark Spector's powers as a way to become the Qween of Evil. Her plan failed with the Physcos were destoryed ( Dark Spector returned to normal). Astronoma was charged with leading the UAE against the forces of good in the universe. Zordon was moved to the Dark Fortress. He tried to convince Astronoma to end the attack. when Radark Spector was tekan out Astronoma became te Qween of Evil and demanded the Space Rangers turn themselves in. The Space Rangers fought her invasion force with help from the people of Angel Grove. Andros battled his sister and tried to reason with her. Astronoma sent a fatal blast at Andros. It was deflected back to her, killing her in the proccess. After the battle was won by good Andros held his sisterin his arms as he joinedhis firends. Magicaly Astronma was restored to life without the cyber equitment. She was now free to live as Karone. She went to live with the Space Rangers.
After Kendrix died saving Cassie, the Galaxy Rangers had to try to find her saber ( it ventured off into space after her death). Karone pretended to be Astronoma once again. She showed up at an auction for the pink saber and forced the auctioner to give it to her. Trekeena broke up her trick and tried to get the saber for herself. Karone was able to escape and helped the Rangers battle the forces of Trekeena (when Deviot tried to trap them). She said she was trying to make up for all the evil she had done as Astronoma. Kendrix's spirit allowed Karone to become the new Pink Galaxy Ranger. Karone was than given a crash course in being a Ranger. Maya allowed her to bunk with her on Terra Venture. When Leo's powers were damaged by a megnetic monster Karone thought back to when she was evil. When she was Astronoma she turned a worrier for good into stone. She told Leo that the worrier's amulet may have been able to restore his powers. Karone was forced to face her evil past in a quest to obtain the amulet. The worrier was restored to flesh and gave his amulet to Leo. Leo used the amulet to restore his powers with a new battlizer mode. Karone finally felt like she could leave her evil past behind her. Karone pushed Damon to enter a contest to be Terra Ventures Cheif Mechanic. Karone meant well but the job just wasn't what he was looking for. When the Rangers became trapped in the Lost Galaxy Karone struggled against the forces of Captiany Mutiney. Once Karone's quest was finshed she returned her Quasar Saber to its stone and Kenrix was restored to life. Karone was overjoyed to see the orginal Galaxy Rangers reunited.
