Tonya Sloan  was separated from her parents when they were lost on an expedition. She was given shelter  by an Aferican tribe her parents had left her with. When the timeline was messed up Aishia journeyd to Tonya's tribe to find her Zeo Crystal shard. Tonya returned with the Zeo Crystal instead so Ashia could stay and help the village with their animal problem. After the Command Center exploded Tonya was relieved to find the new Power Chamber. She still felt out  of place in her new Ranger role. Since their were only five zeo subcrystals Billy stepped aside to allow Tonya to become the Yellow Ranger. Tonya quickly adjusted to her Ranger duties and learned Martial Arts from Adam. She met a star Athelete named  Shawn. Shawn wanted to cheat so he could pass his next test. Tonya didn't approve but luckly Shawn decided to do things the right way.  Later on Tonya made the baseball team with her great pitching arm. Shawn felt threatened since he was the best baseball player and his girlfriend could strike him out at practice. After she recieved a lot of grief from Shawn Tonya decided to cut him loose.  Later Shawn  came to an understanding with her and the two became friends . Tonya recieved an ancient artifact her parents found. It held the key to Auric the Conquer. Tonya rescued her parents from  an island they were stuck on. She intrusted the key to Auric with Jason  ( Auric had become a new ally).

Tonya journeyed with her friends to the Island of Maranthesis where they stopped Divatox's plan to unleash Mailgore. Tonya graduated from high School and went to work for a radio station as a DJ. Tonya continued to be good friends with Adam.  Tonya passed her powers on to Ashley when it was time.

Tonya was always a mature girl. Her time as a Ranger allowed her to use her skills to save the Earth. She adjusted to Ranger life quickly and proved worthy of the power.
