Mighty Morphing Power Rangers

More than a decade ago ago a corney little kids show called the Mighty Morphing Power Rangers was launched on the Fox Kids Network. Adults and teenagers laughed at this new show. It was full of bad special effects and cheesy storylines. It was a wierd sorta of Japanese American hyrbid that prbably left parents heads spining. But the kids ate it up. So much in fact that they had their parents mobed stores just to buy the Power Ranger toys. This lead to one of the greatest kids televsion crazes of the 20th century. Power Ranegrs became the number 1 kids show and made millions from toy stores. Kids every where became fixated on the Power Rangers. It didn't matter to them that it has cheesy action. It was just a cool action show to them. It was pure escapism for the kiddies. MMPR took on a more American feel during its following seasons . But it still remained cheesy ( while getting better from a writing prospective). The Power Ranger crazd lasted till the final mmpr season. After the third season the MMPR craze began to dwindle. As far as Power Rangers has improved creativily since than, one can not forget how the show began. Many Power Ranger fans who grew up with the show love the first three MMPR seasons for Nostlagia alone.
