The fad that personified
Power Rangers during
MMPR
had ended. After its first three seasons PR was no longer the hottest
kids
show on the block. Ratings and toys sales were down but the show
continued on. This time the producers of Power Rangers took a bold
strep
to try and freshen up the show.MMPR was dropped and a whole new
incarnation
was created for Power Ranger's fourth seaosn. The new name of
the
show was Power Rangers Zeo. Taking a concept similar from the
sentai
( the show pr gets its action fotage and some storylinesfrom) a whole
new
set of powers and zords were created. New villians arrived. For the
most
part the same caracters carryed over from the end of MMPR. But
there
was a difinite visual difference from early seasons. The show became a
little less cheesy and more realistic. Still it had its cheesy
storylines
and stayed true to the theme of MMPR. The new direction failed to raise
the ratings or toy sales but later on proved itself to be a step in the
right direction. Many older pr fans name this season as one of their
favorites.
